Creating the Perfect NEMA 4 TITAN Computer Enclosure

The NEMA 4 TITAN computer enclosure by ITSENCLOSURES is ideal for any harsh shop floor, warehouse, factory, or loading dock. Intended for both indoors and outdoors, the computer enclosure is an all-in-one industrial workstation, which will protect a PC, monitor, printer, and electronics from dust, dirt, hose directed fluids, corrosive materials, and most weather conditions (rain, snow, sleet, ice). The heavy-duty NEMA 4 TITAN features a 14-gauge welded steel enclosure body with 12-gauge door thickness.

The free-standing NEMA 4 TITAN includes the following standard items:
  – 24-inch (16×9) wide screen monitor
– Tempered safety glass viewing window (polycarbonate available)
– Monitor shelf with VESA mounting patterns
– Lift-off hinges on the rear door & lower front door
– Sloped work surface with pencil/pen ledge
– Integrated keyboard drawer with ergonomic wrist-rest
– Adjustable shelf, attached to uni-strut (lower cabinet)
– Quarter-turn, knob style compression latches
– Dual durometer EPDM gasket
– Heavy-duty, swivel casters

Additional accessories are available to create a superior indoor/outdoor TITAN:

Cable Entry Gland – To protect against harmful elements entering the computer enclosure, wires, cables, and cords can enter the enclosure through a sealed cable entry gland. The cords can be routed through modules, which peel away (much like an onion) to allow for cables of varying diameters. The modules are installed around the cables and a compression unit is tightened for a reliable seal.

Bolt Down Legs – Freestanding TITAN computer enclosures are equipped with industrial casters. If the TITAN needs to be anchored in place, bolt down legs (powder coated steel) can replace the casters. The support legs measure 3.25-inches high x 23.5-inches deep.

Panel Mount Door – Looking to install a panel mount monitor or touchscreen? A custom designed panel mount door can be fabricated to fit your specific monitor choice. The specific make and model of the monitor is needed to create the custom door (lead time may vary).

Hinged Printer Door – Planning to deploy a barcode printer on the inside of the TITAN? Consider adding a water-tight, NEMA 4 hinged printer door. The built-in printer door will permit access to printouts/labels, without having to open the larger bottom door. The location of the printer door can be fitted based on the height of the printer and the label/paper exit area.

Sliding Shelf Brackets – As previously mentioned, the NEMA 4 TITAN includes a fixed, adjustable shelf for electronics. By adding sliding brackets to the shelf, access to the printer, computer, or other various electronics will be simple. The sliding shelf is accommodating when accessing the rear of a computer or a printer to change media/labels/ink/thermal transfer ribbon.

Thermal Management – An outdoor filtered fan system, air conditioner(s), a NEMA 4 heat exchanger, or a NEMA 4X vortex cooling unit can be added to the NEMA 4 IceStation TITAN to provide cooling/airflow. If unsure which system will work best, consult an ITSENCLOSURES sales representative for a recommendation. Heaters, available in various wattage sizes, are also offered.

Surge Protector – Adding a 6-outlet surge protector to the inside of the TITAN will enable a user to plug in various electronics, including computers, printers, and a monitor. The surge suppression shields connected equipment from performance problems due to surges.
