Cabinet Assembler

Requirements:
Assemble Computer Enclosure solutions on production basis. Read drawings and layout patterns for drilling, cutting and electrical wiring. Assemble enclosure solutions and sub-assemblies. Carefully inspect product for fit and finish prior to shipment with an eye for detail and quality. Meet productivity standards; Complete work in timely manner; Strive to increase productivity and quality.

Attendance/Punctuality:
Consistently at work and on time, ensure work responsibilities are covered when absent; Arrives at meetings and appointments on time.

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills – to perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic experience in the following:

  • Cutting with Jigsaw, Power Saw, Metal Nibbler
  • Operation of Battery Powered Hand tools
  • Hole drilling & tapping; Hydraulic hole punching
  • Light Electrical Wiring
  • Use of pneumatic nailing gun

Physical Demands:
All work is completed in clean, covered, heated, and well lit warehouse environment. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 80+ pounds.

Work Hours and Benefits:

Product Development/Design Engineer (Engineering Dept.)

Summary:
Designs and develops mechanical components, equipment, systems, and products by performing the following duties.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Designs new products, modifies existing designs, improves production techniques, and develops test procedures for new products.
  • Confers with management, production, and marketing staff to determine engineering feasibility, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of new technologies which may improve operations, and develops recommendations accordingly as they relate to new product development.
  • Analyzes data to determine feasibility of product proposal.
  • Prepares or directs preparation of product or system layout and detailed drawings and schematics.
  • Directs and coordinates manufacturing or building of prototype product or system.
  • Plans and develops experimental test programs.
  • Analyzes test data and reports to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications.
  • Confers with production and sales personnel and prepares design modifications as required.
  • Evaluates engineering test results for possible application to developments of systems or other uses.
  • Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to formulate and test mechanical designs.
  • Analyzes data to determine feasibility of product proposal.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; or five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Sheet metal experience is a plus!

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a working knowledge of 3D CAD, Solidworks and/or AutoCAD, Excel Spreadsheet software, Microsoft Outlook  and WORD Word Processing software, Microsoft Access, Power Point, Acrobat, miscellaneous testing & data collection software.

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.  Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
